This was Sunday at the 1998 Troy Strawberry Festival.   Each year there is a Super Kids competition where kids compete in some events agains other kids in their age and gender categories.  Alex's two events were the 40 yd. dash and the StrawBerry Shuttle Race.  The StrawBerry Shuttle Race is such that each child runs a strawberry down to a basket 30 yds away and then runs back.  First one back wins.  Alex did very good and we are proud of him.  He received a ribbon and a free soft drink for his efforts.

	Taking ownership of the Mt. Dew that I had brought for my personal consumption.  It suddenly became "our" Mt. Dew.

	Finishing strong.  That other kid obviously cheated.
	Getting ready to run the shuttle race.  Each kid had to take a strawberry 30 yds and place it in the basket.  The first one back is the winner.
	Alex decided to slide to a finish.  Although I could not see any marks I am sure there was a wound somewhere.
	The ribbon Alex won.  It suddenly became an eye patch for Pirate Alex.
	Alex is now sporting his "Cool Rays" and showing off his ribbon.
	Same situation, different look.
	Pirate Alex has returned.
	One of Alex's best buddies is Nicholas.  He was on hand for the photo opportunity.
	What?  Is that a tounge sticking out?
